Summary

This position is located at the Fort Campbell MWR Financial Management Branch.

U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. or U.S. Territory for three (3) or more continuous years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation.

Duties

  • Ensures the accuracy and timeliness of accounting documents submitted by assigned activities. Guards against fraud, waste and abuse with ethical oversight of cash accountability.
  • Maintains assigned subsidiary ledgers for Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, customer deposits, unearned income, annual leave payables, equipment, and prepaid items.
  • Integrates accounting requirements with Financial Management processes including internal controls, cash management, and daily activity reporting. Determines that all transactions are properly processed in agreement with predetermined control tables.
  • Analyzes and reviews reports ensuring accounting data is valid and that it adheres to prescribed regulatory manuals and procedures.
  • Researches erroneous financial conditions to determine cause. Takes corrective action to bring reports and listings into balance. Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Incumbent also may required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally-controlled facilities.
  • Must be able to work occasional weekends, evening or holidays for property sales and inventories, and in support of installation-wide events or budget preparation.

Qualification Requirements:

Work experience performing accounting support duties as described above.

  • Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in a business accounting role OR a 2-year accounting/finance degree

PCS Costs
  • Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.

Pay-Band (NF or CY) Allowances and Differentials
  • This is a pay-banded position.
  • Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday).
  • Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. When authorized, night differential will be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600.
