Duties

  • Responsible for the full range of acquisition planning and contract management functions required to support a project with a mission of development, acquisition, testing, integration, production, and fielding of assigned weapons systems
  • Responsible for the full range of acquisition planning and contract management functions required to support a project.
  • Serves as a primary representative on contract related task forces such as assisting in the development of solicitation packages and conducting reviews of contract specifications and contract changes.
  • Makes reports to higher headquarters on status of contracts.

  • Business travel is required up to 25% of the time.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. One year of specialized experience which includes work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service NH-02. Specialized experience is defined as 1) Performing contract administration activities in support of aviation system projects or other weapons systems of similar complexity; 2) developing solicitation packages for various contracts in accordance with regulations, policies and procedures; 3 Providing advisement to program officials in procurement planning meetings in support of assigned programs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service NH-02/GS-11 equivalent.
