The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector or Volunteer Service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-timework is considered on a prorated basis. Specialized Experienceis experience that has equipped applicants with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, the next lower grade level is a GS-09.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION FOR GS-11: Applicants must have one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-9 grade level.
Specialize experience includes:
- Experience in applying a comprehensive range of contracting and procurement laws, policies, and practice to resolve technical issues, ensuring compliance and effective resolution of procurement challenges within a measurable timeframe for pre-award and post award actions.
- Experience in providing clear and concise administrative support in contracting and procurement activities including preparing, reviewing, and interpreting complex procurement documents and effectively conveying recommendations and findings to management for informed decision making.
OR EDUCATION:
A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or Three (3) full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in accounting, auditing, taxation, business administration, law or other related fields.
OR LL.M., if related.
