Duties
Duties at the FV-F band:
Performs basic but progressively more difficult assignments under the close direction of a manager, project/program manager, team leader, or more experienced professional. Applies basic knowledge applicable to various administrative/management services and limited experience to accomplish assignments.
Typical assignments may include: collecting and recording data/information; conducting research; identifying problems; and assisting higher level professionals in day-to-day operations. Coordinates with a manager, project/program manager, team leader, or more experienced professional to plan time and use assigned resources to accomplish tasks. Performs various management and administrative services/functions in support of the organization's administrative programs, policies and procedures.
Uses various office automation software programs, databases, spreadsheets, etc. Initiates personnel actions into the Federal Personnel/Payroll System (FPPS), which includes MPP announcements and administrative actions. Collects and analyzes data and conducts research. Contributes to staffing KSN site. Maintains internal reports on personnel statistics such as on-board numbers and hiring projections. Conducts internal orientations for Engineering Services' new hires including badging and providing assistance on standard office procedures as well as status tracking, reporting of data, pre-onboard actions, etc. The incumbent handles special assignments of a confidential nature discretely, ensuring information and actions are accurate, timely, applicable, maintained on a need-to-know bases and security stored.
Communicates with ATO Administrative Services Group to accomplish assigned functions. Performs basic assignments with detailed instructions under the close direction of a manager, AO focal, or more experienced professional. Performs other related duties as assigned. Contacts are primarily internal to the organizational unit with a manager and other employees to share information, provide data and/or written analyses, and discuss the statuses of assignments.
Established policies/procedures provide detailed guidance for almost all assignments, with little or no room for discretion. Works under detailed instructions provided by a manager, project/program manager, team leader, or more experienced professional.
Regularly refers problems and work issues to a manager, project/program manager, team leader, or more experienced professional for guidance.
Work is reviewed regularly during assignments and at completion to ensure timeliness and all aspects of quality.
Work activities typically support the work of other employees and contribute to activities of the organizational level.
Duties at the G band:
Performs the full range of administrative functions, implementing the organization's administrative programs, policies and procedures.
Proficient in written and verbal communications and exhibits skill in using various office automation software programs, databases, spreadsheets, etc.
Initiates personnel actions into the Federal Personnel/Payroll System (FPPS), which includes MPP announcements and administrative actions.
Collects and analyzes data and conducts research.
Responsible for maintaining the KSN site.
Maintains reports on personnel statistics such as on-board numbers and hiring projections.
Conducts orientations for Engineering Services' new hires including badging and providing assistance on standard office procedures.
Handles special assignments of a confidential nature discretely, ensuring information and actions are accurate, timely, applicable, maintained on a need-to-know bases and security stored.
Serves as liaison between ES and ATO Administrative Services Group to accomplish assigned functions.
Work performed is more complex in nature and requires a greater extent of independence.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position at the FV-F/FG/GS-5-9, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess one-year specialized experience equivalent to the FV-E/FG-4 level in Federal service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.
Specialized experience may include but not limited to applying administrative practices and procedures, gathering administrative and technical data from a variety of sources, and assisting with managing projects and programs.
OR
Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in any field leading to a bachelor's degree, gained from an accredited college or university
OR
Combination of education and experience may be qualifying for this position.
To qualify for FV-G band you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of experience equivalent to the FV-F, FG/GS-5-9 levels. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.
Specialized experience may include but is not limited to: Conducting research and applying policies and procedures; identifies problems and offers solutions to management. Experience with various automation software, i.e. Microsoft Office, Excel, Power Point and Word.

Education may be substituted for experience as follows: PH.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related, is qualifying. OR Combination education and experience may be qualifying for this position. To qualify based on education, you must submit a copy of your high school or college transcripts or certificates. Failure to do so will result in loss of consideration.
