Duties
Description:
*Plans, organize, and execute a wide range of planning and scheduling activities for SBD 2. Provides administrative support to internal and external routine and long-term, diversified programs, projects, and activities, which may involve coordinating the work from multiple functional areas which can include external civic organizations.
*Directly assist the commander/director in the management of administrative support program functions. The incumbent is the lead
administrative authority for SBD 2. Works directly with the delta staff and subordinate organizations ensuring compliance with administrative practices and
procedures including flow of communications, delegation of authority, correspondence routing, and management of official files and records.
*Performs as the SBD 2 Liaison, Providing Administrative Support for Installation Delta Staff, Projects, and Activities. Participate in special projects and initiatives and perform special assignments as directed by SBD 2 Commander.
*Provide Information Technology (IT) support. Serves as alternate support for Delta
leadership as required for numerous video teleconferences and secured video teleconferences.
Ideal Candidate:
Serves as Administrative Specialist and Planning and Scheduling Specialist for the Space Base Delta 2 (SBD 2) Command Section. This position will ensure planning effectiveness by scheduling and assisting with execution of all installation programs and activities associated with SBD 2. This position also manages Delta and Staff programs and projects assigned by the SBD 2 commander and vice commander.
SBD 2 Mission: Delivers unrivaled global combat capabilities to our Combatant commands, Joint mission partners and Allies, powering uninterrupted missile warning, intelligence, and cyber operations. Employee carries out recurring assignments independently; Conducts successive activities with objectives and priorities identified by supervisor or team leader; assistance given on new or unusual projects or situations. Finished work is reviewed to ensure accuracy and technical soundness. Position involves 51% or more of time in direct support of acquisition positions.

- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- May be required to travel by military or commercial aircraft in the performance of TDY assignments.
- May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis.
- Subject to Temporary Duty Assignment (TDY): Approximately 5 days per year.
- Eligible for situational telework only, including Emergency and OPM prescribed “Unscheduled Telework”.
- PCS is authorized. Incentive is authorized.
