Duties
- Assistant in the supervision, planning and administering a wide range of basic aquatic activities, and coordination with the MWR marketing department to publicize events of the aquatic programs.
- Assists the aquatic manager with the APF and NAF budget for the assigned facilities and programs. Review budget execution reports with the aquatic manager to ensure desired execution rate is met.
- Assist with the development and update of the Standard Operating Procedures for the aquatic facilities, programs and enforces policies.
- Assists with maintaining, ensuring accountability and proper operating condition of equipment. Performs preventive maintenance on equipment and reports any deficiencies as required.
- Ensures proper handling and storage of chemicals and other supplies. Assist with the arrangement of equipment, supplies and services needed to accomplish assigned functions.

- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.

- Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, Chapter 2 to include local agency checks and a Tier 1 background investigation.
- Required to work nights, weekends, and holidays dependent upon mission.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in planning and executing aquatic programs.
- This experience may have been gained managing indoor or outdoor aquatic programs and facilities.
- Required experience must have been equivalent to the next lower grade level.
- Current certification in Life guarding or Life guarding instructor.
- Current certification in First Aid and CPR for the Professional Rescuer or equivalent.
- The following certificates must be obtained within 12 months of appointment
- Water Safety Instructor - Aquatic Facilities Operator (AFO) or Pool Operator certification
- The following certificate must be obtained within two weeks of reporting for duty:
