Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in planning and executing programs. This experience may have been gained managing indoor or outdoor aquatic programs and facilities. Required experience must have been equivalent to the next to lower grade level.
- Current certification in Life guarding or Life guarding Instructor, First Aid, and CPR for the Professional Rescuer or equivalent. NOTE: Certifications must be uploaded at the time of application.
The following certificates must be obtained within 12 months of appointment:
- Water Safety Instructor
- Aquatic Facilities Operator (AFO) or Pool Operator Certification
In addition, the following certificate must be obtained within two weeks of reporting for duty:
- Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
Best Qualified:
- At least 36 months of lifeguarding experience.
- At least twelve (12) months lifeguarding experience at DFMWR Facility or similar Garrison activity.
- At least twelve (12) months of work experience as Lead and/or Supervisor.
- Experience with Army Community Recreation Reports Online System, RecTrac, Outlook/Excel/Word.
- Possess the following: current Water Safety Instructor certificate and current AED certificate.
