Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Demonstrated experience in planning and executing aquatic programs. This experience may have been gained managing indoor or outdoor aquatic programs and facilities. Required experience must have been equivalent to the next lower grade level.
2. Current certification in Lifeguarding or Lifeguarding instructor, First Aid and CPR for the Professional Rescuer or equivalent.
3. The following certificates must be obtained within 12 months of appointment:
- Water Safety Instructor;
- Aquatic Facilities Operator (AFO) or Pool Operator certification
4. In addition, for facilities that use Automated External Defibrillator "AED's" and Oxygen Administration "O2 bottles" the following certificate must be obtained within two weeks of reporting for duty:

Highly Preferred Criteria:
Any certifications must be uploaded at time of applying to be considered as a Highly preferred applicant.
- Currently hold certification for Water Safety Instructor.
- Currently hold Aquatics Facilities Operator (AFO) certification or Pool Operator certification.
Resume MUST clearly reflect knowledge and experience listed under the highly qualified criteria AND minimum qualifications criteria above. Applicants who meet minimum qualifications and highly qualified criteria will be sent to the hiring manager first.
