Summary
Who May Apply? US Citizens currently residing within the commuting area of Kaiserslautern Military Community, (not ordinarily resident in Germany). US resident alien family members of US sponsors who are citizens of NATO countries other than Germany.
This position is located at the USAG Rheinland-Pfalz, Java Cafe, Baumholder, Germany
Duties
- Assists the Business Manager in directing the operations and supervision of multiple food serve facilities, with up to 12 employees. Checking work in progress to ensure compliance with established methods.
- Responsible for cleaning, inventory, stocking and organizing each facility on a daily basis. Performs food service and cashiering duties a required. Completes cash reports, and makes daily deposits.
- Maintains clean and orderly work areas. Orients new employees to work situations, compliance with health and safety standards, proper use and storage of tools and equipment.
- Occasionally may be required to work in any of the food service facilities when necessary. Provides administrative support as needed.

- You must be able to obtain and maintain a valid USAREUR drivers and TMP license for this position for occasional travel in support of operations.
- This position has a heavy lifting requirement of 60 lbs.
- The tour of duty may require rotating shift work to include nights, weekends and holidays.
- Must be willing to work a rotating schedule that includes late nights, weekends and holidays.
- Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required
- Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
- A probation period of one year may be required.
- Possesses satisfactory completion of pre-employment background checks in accordance with AR 215-3, 2-13, to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
- Successfully complete a health screening. Immunizations required as a condition of employment for the health and safety of those in the facility.
Qualifications
Must have cash handling experience to include direct handling of cash items, and use of cash accountability control methods. Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, stressful environment. Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills. Preferred are those candidates that have experience in supervising and training staff and experience in a food service setting.
