To qualify for this position, you must meet the Education and Specialized Experience requirements below. You must include experience in your resume and provide supporting documentation for verification.
To qualify for the Grade 00, you must have at least one year of experience, it must include:
At least 5 academic years of teaching Physical Education, Physical Fitness, or similar related courses above the high school level or 5 sports seasons of full-time experience (or equivalent) as a coach, athletic trainer, or administrator (Athletic Director, Assistant AD, Communications, Finance, Facility Management, Development) at the college or university level. Your resume and application materials (including college transcripts) must show that you have the education and specialized experience necessary to teach Physical Education related courses above the high school level. Your application package must include all the required documents to support that you have met this requirement.
You must also have:
- At least 1 year of experience in game day operations and management.
- Demonstrate knowledge and experience related to NCAA Compliance procedures and requirements.
- Demonstrate knowledge and experience related to departmental finance policies and procedures.
Highly Desirable: Well qualified candidates must be highly motivated and experienced professionals possessing integrity, stamina, and ingenuity, and be capable of adjusting to various work environments, physical demands, and schedules. Highly desirable candidates will provide experience in the development of educational curriculum and/or organizational excellence.
Master’s Degree in Physical Education or closely related field.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:

- Oral Communication: Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.
- Education & Training: Knowledge of teaching, training, research, making presentations, lecturing, testing, and other instructional methods.
For all types of consideration, experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
