Join Our Team as an Assistant Nurse Manager

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Nurse Manager to join our progressive care team. In this role, you will be accountable to the Nurse Manager of ICU/PCU and share responsibility for the provision and evaluation of patient care within the Progressive Care Unit. This position also involves day-to-day management and supervision of nursing staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical and direct patient care, as well as perform supervisory duties.
  • Plan and prioritize workload, and create schedules for staff.
  • Evaluate staff performance, recommend appointments and advancements, and address staff complaints and disciplinary actions.
  • Facilitate staff development and training programs.
  • Drive performance improvement initiatives, patient satisfaction, and ensure a safe work environment.
  • Manage collaboration with physicians and other clinicians.
  • Ensure compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain knowledge of the care needs related to the aging and geriatric population.

Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship or eligibility under specific conditions.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Graduate from an accredited nursing school (ADN, BSN, or higher preferred).
  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted RN license from any U.S. state or territory.
  • Experience as a graduate professional nurse is preferred.

  • Satisfactory completion of a background check and pre-employment physical.
  • Participation in required vaccination programs.
