Job Overview:
We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Audiologist to join our medical team at the Medical Treatment Facility located in Travis Air Force Base, California. This role involves providing specialized audiological services to patients across all ages, helping those with severe hearing impairments to regain quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer a comprehensive range of diagnostic procedures for patients with hearing issues.
- Create tailored treatment plans for patients with severe hearing loss.
- Ensure proper fitting and effectiveness of hearing aids.
- Diagnose and assess communication disorders related to hearing loss.
- Counsel and guide audiologist assistants.
- Evaluate and validate treatment outcomes.
- Lead various audiology programs, such as Tinnitus Management, Pediatric Cochlear Implant Program, and more.
Requirements:
Applicants must meet the following educational and professional criteria:
- Education: Graduate degree in Audiology with 18 semester hours in audiology practice, accredited by the ASHA.
- Licensure: Valid audiology practice license in any U.S. state or territory.
- Experience: At least one year of specialized experience in evaluating patients, implementing treatment plans, and providing educational counseling in audiology.
- Ability to obtain and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Capability to work weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts as necessary.
- Fulfillment of credentialing and immunization requirements.
Additional Requirements:
- Up to 10% travel may be required.
- Capability for moderate to heavy lifting (up to 45 pounds).
- Passing a pre-employment medical examination and background check.
- Consent to seasonal influenza vaccinations or present a recognized exemption.
