In addition to meeting the minimum qualifications below, you must also possess one (1) of the following to satisfy the Individual Occupational Requirement for the GS-1071 job series.
Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study -- photography, radio or television production, motion picture production, or other fields related to the position.
OR
Specialized Experience: Experience in the actual type of work for which application is made. Unpaid experience is creditable, provided the work done was of a quality level and demonstrated the ability required for the position. This includes work directly connected with the production aspects of the field of the position to be filled.
You qualify for the GS-13 grade level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-12 grade level or equivalent performing duties such as:
- Producing, directing, and editing aspects of audiovisual production;
- Overseeing program operations and ensuring compliance;
- Managing and operating broadcast facilities during use;
- Producing programs in the field.
