Summary

About this position: This position is located at the Auto Hobby Shop on Spangdahlem AB.

This is a Regular Full-time position (35-40 Hours per week). Work schedule is Monday-Sunday, nights, weekends and holidays.

Under the supervision of the Arts and Crafts Operations Manager, is responsible for the management of the Car Care Operations and more. Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 50lbs.

Duties

Reoccurring & Regular Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for the day-to-day workforce management of the Car Care facilities to include staff scheduling, employee recruitment, staff training, approval of leave, time cards, performance reviews and appraisals and administration of discipline.

Provides technical program support and guidance to subordinates. Responsible for formulating mission planning, programming, scheduling, policies and procedures to implement DOD, Air Staff and USAFE directives. Develops budgets, tracks expenses, performs detailed analysis of operating statements and accomplishes short and long range strategic planning.

Evaluates complex activity operating statements to determine inefficiencies and develops comprehensive business plans to strengthen financial performance. Responsible for coordinating maintenance schedules, performing inspections, preparing reports, following local and higher headquarters guidelines on the squadron's NAF vehicle fleet. Manages both O&M and NAF assets to include internal controls.

Prepares and accurately enters data into Air Force financial data software such as NAFRIS, NAFDIS, IBPS and SETS computer platform systems. Serves as a NAF Fund Purchase Card holder for Car Care operations.

Ensures compliance with all environmental procedures and policies managing Car Care Operation's hazardous waste management program. Serves as the Car Care facilities primary representative for self-inspection, MICT, Safety, HAZCOM and ESOMIS. Develops an annual marketing plan to include a yearly schedule of events. Assists other functional elements of the Flight and Squadron for special events and base-wide functions as directed by the Arts and Crafts Operations Manager.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifying Experience:
Progressively responsible experience which provides sound knowledge of management principles and practices. Experience may have been gained in an operational, administrative, or managerial position. Must have in-depth knowledge and management experience overseeing and controlling the process of automotive repairs to include operation of an auto parts sales facility. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Skill in supervising, motivating, and directing a subordinate workforce. Must have (or obtain within 6 months of employment) and maintain a minimum of the ASE Auto Service Consultant (Cl) and Parts Specialist (P Series) certification.
