Summary

AN ONSITE HIRING EVENT WILL BE HELD FOR THIS POSITION ON WEDNESDAY 2/26/25 FROM 11:00AM to 2:00PM and 4:00PM to 7:00PM AT THE SUSQUEHANNA CLUB, LOCATED AT THE END OF ROSS AVENUE IN NEW CUMBERLAND, PA. THOSE ATTENDING MUST BRING THEIR SOCIAL SECURITY CARD, PHOTO ID, WORK AUTHORIZATION (AGES 14-17) AND PROOF OF EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS. BE PREPARED TO INTERVIEW!

Duties

  • Identifies improperly functioning parts for repair or replacement using on-board computer diagnostic systems and other test equipment.
  • Determine whether parts should be cleaned or replaced. Install, adjust and set automotive systems in accordance with manufacturer's specifications and tests the completed product.
  • Knowledge of the various techniques for removing, replacing, cleaning and installing parts and components.
  • Skill to make adjustments and settings and in the operation of tools and equipment used.
  • Decides on the methods and techniques to use. Supervisor is available for assistance with unusual problems. Work is reviewed in terms of results obtained.

  • A one year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a medical exam.
  • Incumbent may also be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally-controlled facilities.

Qualifications

Candidates must:
1. Be able to lift and carry weights up to 40 pounds (occasionally, move object over 50 pounds with assistance or with mechanical devices)
2. Possess a. valid motor vehicle operators permit.
3. Have work experience performing the identified duties.
4. Be able to work independently.

Highly Preferred:
Possess state inspection and/or emissions certificate.

PCS Costs
  • Payment PCS costs are not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.
Pay-Band (NF or CY) Allowances and Differentials
  • This is a pay-banded position.
  • Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday).
  • Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. When authorized, night differential will be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600.
Incentives and Bonuses
  • Incentives will not be paid.
Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances
  • Non-foreign overseas allowances, COLA, and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
