Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to carry out the functions of this position. Specialized experience is defined as performing ALL of the following duties which includes: 1) Executing funds in systems such as the General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) accounting database according to fiscal law, regulations, policies, and/or procedures for the organization; 2) Monitoring obligations of funds against budget to ensure expenditures are within the amount allocated; and, 3) Preparing a variety of reports about the status of funds, expenses, and obligations for budget request. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-02 or GS-11).
