Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade or band is required. It is defined as one year of specialized experience equivalent to the DE-02 (GS-11 equivalent grade level or higher) in the Federal Service which includes: 1) Performing the complete planning, programming, budgeting and execution of an assigned organization, such as budget formulation, presentation, and execution of an annual budget involving one or more appropriations; 2) Interpreting program and budgetary policies and guidelines to conduct economic analyses and develop data for internal review and analysis; and, 3) Monitor the rates and timing of commitments, obligations, and disbursements of funds.
