Summary

You will serve as a BUSINESS ANALYST in the Business and Strategic Planning Division of TRIDENT REFIT FACILITY, BANGOR.

Salary Range:
GS-11: $83,104 - $108,029 per annum
GS-12: $99,606 - $129,494 per annum

Duties

  • You will conduct workload forecasting by coordinating, compiling, and analyzing all pertinent workload.
  • You will provide staff assistance to a branch manager in the Business Planning Division.
  • You will conduct short-range studies to determine possible resource requirements and resource mitigation strategies based on changing work practices.
  • You will develop metrics from a wide variety of sources that allow customers to assess situations requiring management attention.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing business analysis to include workload forecasting and strategic planning relating to submarine overhaul and repair projects.

GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

For the GS-11 grade level:
Successfully completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
OR
Successfully completing of three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
OR
Successfully completing a LL.M., if related to the position being filled.
OR
A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. The percentage of the required education plus the percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
