Summary

Who May Apply? US Citizens currently residing within the commuting area of BRUNSSUM, the Netherlands (not ordinarily resident in the Netherlands). US resident alien family members of US sponsors who are citizens of NATO countries other than the Netherlands. Non-US Nationals must have resided in the US or US Territory for three (3) or more continuous years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation.

This position is located at the USAG Benelux, The Hub, Brunssum, The Netherlands.

Duties

  • Sets up bars for operation, obtains cash bank and stocks service bar.
  • Assures an adequate stock level is maintained, sets up storeroom and work area to permit easy access to stock items.
  • Prepares a limited variety of simple alcoholic beverages as requested by patrons and wait staff.
  • Records sales and makes change or prepares charge slips. Keeps bar and work area clean and sanitary.
  • Identifies persons who become unruly or who appear intoxicated, resolves the problem or seeks assistance.

  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required
  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A probation period of one year may be required.
  • Possesses satisfactory completion of pre-employment background checks in accordance with AR 215-3, 2-13, to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
  • Successfully complete a health screening. Immunizations required as a condition of employment for the health and safety of those in the facility.
  • Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 4 hours initial food sanitation and safety training is required within 30 days of employment and a minimum of 4 hours refresher training annually.
  • Working Conditions: Work is primarily indoors. Exposed to cuts and bruises.
  • Regularly lifts and carries items weighing up to 20 pounds. Occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 40 pounds. Stands for prolonged periods.
  • MUST be 18 years of age at the time of appointment.

Qualifications

Candidate must demonstrate EXPERIENCE MIXING ALCOHOLIC AND NONALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES.
  • Skill in mixing and serving alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages, beer and soda.
  • Ability to apply simple arithmetic in calculating patron bills and making change.
  • Ability to recognize intoxicated and unruly patrons.
  • Be able to lift and carry weights up to 20 pounds.
Satisfactory completion of a certified bartender training school may be substituted for the required experience.

FWS Allowances and Differentials
  • All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work in excess of 8 hours in a day or in excess of 40 hours in the administrative workweek, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee.
  • Regular part-time and are entitled to Sunday premium pay when working Sunday shifts. A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 7.5% for the entire shift when a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 1500 and 2400. A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 10% of the scheduled rate if a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 2300-0800.

  • Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.
