Duties

  • Sets up bars for operation, obtains cash bank and stocks service bar.
  • Assures an adequate stock level is maintained, sets up storeroom and work area to permit easy access to stock items.
  • Prepares a limited variety of simple alcoholic beverages as requested by patrons and wait staff.
  • Records sales and makes change or prepares charge slips.
  • Keeps bar and work area clean and sanitary.
  • Identifies persons who become unruly or who appear intoxicated, resolves the problem or seeks assistance in accordance with established procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • A one year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Must attend Team Member Orientation within the first thirty (30) days of employment.
  • This is a flexible position. Flexible positions have no guaranteed hours. A flexible employee serves in a continuing position on a scheduled or as needed basis.
  • Must be willing to work varying and/or rotating shifts that includes working: days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para 2, to include a medical examination.
  • All employees are required to be available for Community Events that Business Operations Division Supports. The events include but not limited to Octoberfest, Freedom Fest, Children’s Festival and Winterfest.
  • Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 4 hours initial food sanitation and safety training is required within 30 days of employment and a minimum of 4 hours refresher training annually.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Meet state/local age requirements for the serving of alcoholic at the time of appointment.
  • Be able to lift and carry weights up to 20 pounds.
  • Possess math skills necessary to calculate patron bills and take inventory.
  • Skill in mixing and serving alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages.

Best Qualified Criteria:
Six (6) months experience working as a bartender.

  • All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work in excess of 8 hours in a day or in excess of 40 hours in the administrative workweek, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee.
Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances
  • Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid.
