To qualify for this position at the GS-06 grade level, you must possess at least one of the following minimum qualifications by close of the announcement:
EXPERIENCE: At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). This experience includes activities such as:
- Coordinating field work in natural resource management, bacteriological water quality testing, wetland restoration, macroinvertebrate or amphibian inventory and monitoring program.
- Experience following water sampling and laboratory standard operating procedures (SOPs) for processing water samples.
- Experience collecting field data and ensuring adequate quality control of data collected, providing a preliminary assessment and classification of the information.
- Evaluates observed conditions and problems and makes preliminary determinations on the case of problems noted. You must include start/end dates and hours per week worked. OR
EDUCATION: Successful completion of at least one full year (18 semester hours or equivalent) of graduate level study that directly applies to the position such as botany, ecology, plant science, etc.
You must include transcripts.

Successful completion of a
COMBINATION of graduate education and experience as described above. The total must equal at least 100 percent to qualify. You must include hours per week worked and include transcripts.
To qualify for this position at the GS-07 grade level, you must possess at least one of the following minimum qualifications by close of the announcement:
EXPERIENCE: At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). This experience includes activities such as: Specialized experience such as:
- Leading field work in natural resource management, bacteriological water quality testing.
- Leading a volunteer natural resource monitoring program, wetland restoration, macroinvertebrate or amphibian inventory and monitoring program.
- Experience following water sampling and laboratory standard operating procedures (SOPs) for processing water samples.
- Experience collecting field data and ensuring adequate quality control of data collected, providing a preliminary assessment and classification of the information.
- Evaluates observed conditions and problems and makes preliminary determinations on the case of problems noted.. You must include start/end dates and hours per week worked.
OR-
EDUCATION: Successful completion of at least one full year (18 semester hours or equivalent) of graduate level study in a related field of scientific or technical study, such as in biology, microbiology, geology, watershed management, aquatic/wetland ecology, invasive species, invertebrate zoology, etc.
