Duties
Supervises approximately 10 employees both U.S and Foreign Nationals. Employees perform duties in bowling equipment repair, retail sales, lane and shoe rental, customer service and cash handling, custodial services for bowling and theater. Duties include assigning work, defining priorities, selecting and recommending applicants for hire and or promotion, instructing employees on both technical and administrative matters, evaluating performance, recommending pay adjustments and awards, providing or recommending training, approving and/or disapproving leave requests, initiating corrective actions, and recommending formal corrective/disciplinary actions as warranted. Supervises day-to-day operation of bowling program.
The incumbent is responsible for the general management, administration and promotion of a 16-lane bowling center with a slot/amusement machine program, recreational bowling leagues, special events and programs. Plans, programs, promotes and executes a broad-based bowling program comprised of special events, leagues, tournaments, open bowling, parties and other activities designed to maximize participation in accordance with CNIC program standards. Promotes events and programs by speaking to groups of people and using administrative resources to create and post advertising materials, as well as provide input for the monthly newsletter and a variety of print and digital media.
Develops and justifies annual budget for the bowling facility. Monitors budget execution. Analyzes financial statements, investigates variances and makes adjustments as necessary. Conducts and maintains inventory including bowling machine maintenance parts and snack bar/theater resale items. Identifies sources and requests purchases for facility supplies, services and other expenses. Maintains records and is accountable for the overall profit and loss of all bowling center operations.
Schedules preventative maintenance of pinsetter equipment and all automated scoring and operational systems. Maintains an accurate inventory of spare and replacement parts for pinsetters and automated scoring and control systems. Orders parts, supplies and equipment as required. Schedules annual lane certification to comply with America Bowling Congress (ABC) standards. Identifies facility and non-bowling equipment deficiencies and arranges for repair or maintenance action through in-house assets, MWR facilities division, or NSA Public Works Department as appropriate.
