Duties
- Maintains, adjusts, and repairs a variety of bowling equipment having mechanical, electrical and electronic parts, components and assemblies.
- Diagnoses equipment malfunctions, but referring to manufacturer's diagrams and specifications, schematics, and wiring diagrams using test equipment such as continuity testers, voltmeters, ohmmeters and feeler gages.
- Conducts operational checks, visually checking for worn or damaged parts, traces wiring, disassembles, and makes necessary adjustments, repairs or replaces defective parts, cleans, lubricates, and reassembles the equipment.
- Determines which mechanical assemblies are malfunctioning, what parts and mechanisms can be reworked or should be replaced with new parts, and the types of adjustments and alignments required.
- Makes such repairs and adjustments as re-timing cams and gears; measuring and regulating the sweep of rakes; replacing broken or worn pins, rods, brushes, bolts, belts, tension springs; filing contact points; and cleaning and lubricating parts.
- Repairs cracks, chips, and splinters in bowling pins and lanes, using wood plastic and lane stock, sands surfaces, and recoat them with appropriate finishes. Follows preventive schedules.
- Involves frequent lifting and carrying parts and assemblies weighing up to 40 lbs. Occasionally may push or pull larger assemblies weighing up to 100 lbs. Requires bending, climbing, reaching, stooping, standing, working in awkward positions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.

- A one year probationary period may be required.
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Incumbent may also be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally-controlled facilities.
- Selected applicant must be able to pass a Medical Physical Examination.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION CRITERIA:
1. Ability to do the work of the position under normal supervision, and demonstrate work experience directly related to the duties and skills described above
2. Knowledge of bowling equipment assembly, repair, and use of measuring instrument's ability to interpret instructions, specification and trouble shoot equipment.
3. Ability to lead employees engaged in technical work related to this position.

HIGHLY QUALIFICATION CRITERIA:
1.Two years of experience/or certified with the following:
- Kegel Lane Walker and Flex. must be able to service, repair, and operate.
- Brunswick and repair Brunswick GSX pin setter
- Brunswick ball returns and lifts, must be able to service, repair, and operate.
2.Must have knowledge of the game of bowling. Such as but not limited to the: rules, oil conditions and how they play.
3. Knowledge of OSHA Procedures such as but not limited to: Material Safety Data (MSD), Lock out tag out, Ladders, extinguishers, extension cords, power tools
