Clarification from the agency

U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. or U.S. Territory for three (3) or more continuous years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation. This position is open to eligible applicants within the local commuting area. The local commuting area is approx. 100 miles of Ansbach, and includes the garrisons Stuttgart, Vilseck, Grafenwoehr, and Hohenfels.

Duties

  • Performs routine maintenance on mechanical and electrical bowling equipment, components and assemblies
  • Adjusts equipment in accordance with guidance provided by and identifies potential malfunctions to the Bowling Equipment Repairer.
  • Assists the Bowling Equipment Repairer in making repairs, adjusting equipment and related duties.
  • Cleans and maintains the bowling facility by replacing light bulbs; making minor repairs to vacuum cleaners, buffers, etc.; scrubbing, washing and polishing floors, walls and other surfaces; and related duties in the bowling facility.
  • Skilled in the use of electrical test equipment and tools. Working knowledge of manufacturer's diagrams, specifications and schematics.

PCS Costs
  • Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.
FWS Allowances and Differentials
  • This is a federal wage schedule (FWS) position.
  • All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work in excess of 8 hours in a day or in excess of 40 hours in the administrative workweek, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee.
  • Regular full-time, regular part-time (to include those in a limited tenure appointment category) and regularly scheduled flexible employees are entitled to Sunday premium pay when working Sunday shifts. A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 7.5% for the entire shift when a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 1500 and 2400. A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 10% of the scheduled rate if a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 2300-0800.

  • Incentives will not be paid.

  • Foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility
