Summary

This position is located at the Strike Zone Bowling Alley

Duties

  • Makes minor corrective adjustments to bowling alley machinery and performs periodic preventive maintenance on automatic handling equipment.
  • Cleans and conditions bowling lanes and return racks; maintains proper stock levels of spare parts and pins for automatic pin setter and mechanical equipment; and assists with general maintenance and cleaning of bowling facilities.

  • Working Conditions: Works indoors in adequately heated and lighted facility. Exposed to noise, dust, dirt and paint fumes.
  • Satisfactory completion of pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2.
  • Incumbent may also be required to complete a Tier 1background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally-controlled facilities.
  • Incumbent must be able to stand, walk,bend, and lift light and medium weight items.

Qualifications

No prior training or work experience required.

Applicant must:
1. Be able to understand and follow written instructions.
2. Have ability to handle tools and equipment used.
3. Be physically able to frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds.
4. Be able to actively bend, stoop, reach and work in awkward positions.

Skill and Knowledge:
Ability to operate cleaning equipment used.
Ability to understand and follow work instructions.

PCS Costs
  • Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized , based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.
FWS Allowances and Differentials
  • All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work in excess of 8 hours in a day or in excess of 40 hours in the administrative workweek, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee.
  • Regular full-time, regular part-time (to include those in a limited tenure appointment category) and regularly scheduled flexible employees are entitled to Sunday premium pay when working Sunday shifts. A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 7.5% for the entire shift when a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 1500 and 2400. A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 10% of the scheduled rate if a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 2300-0800.
