Qualifying specialized experience includes having Practical knowledge of the missions, functions, goals, objectives, work processes, and sources of funding of budget activities in order to relate needs and accomplishments of serviced activities to anticipated and actual dollar figures in the budget; comprehends all facets of Departmental and Federal processes, budgetary policies, precedents, goals, objectives, regulations, and guidelines for the sources, types and methods for funding organizations and programs; understanding of fund accounting methods, procedures, and techniques used in maintaining and analyzing all types of appropriations, accounts, and funds relating to the fiscal system of activities; ability to utilize a wide range of computer-run applications, which include download, input, program design and output design.

SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION GS-9: having a masters, or equivalent graduate degree or two (2) full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL. If that information cannot be obtained from the school, eighteen (18) semester hours will be considered as satisfying the one (1) year of full-time study requirement).

Physical Requirements: The work is primarily sedentary. The position uses a computer and standard office equipment to complete tasks. Work may also require walking and standing in conjunction with travel to and attendance at meetings and conferences away from the work site. On occasion, the position may carry light items.
