The United States Space Force (USSF) at Peterson Space Force Base is searching for a Budget Resource Advisor to support the 319 CTS (NH-0560-02, GS-5/11 Equivalent).
Description:
Serves as the 319 Combat Training Squadron (319 CTS) budget and program analyst evaluating and analyzing issues and developing solutions to resolve substantive problems and issues of effectiveness and efficiency in work operations involving major programs of United States Space Force (USSF) space operations. Provides oversight of budgetary and financial decisions affecting the 319 CTS, Space Training and Readiness Command (STARCOM) and USSF. Manage assigned squadron resources and provide sound resource planning and guidance necessary to meet the squadron's training mission today and over the next five years. Key advisor to the unit commander.
Ideal Candidate:
The 319 CTS is seeking a Department of the Air Force (DAF) experienced Resource Advisor to provide expert financial management support. As a key member of the USSF's largest schoolhouse, you'll leverage DEAMS, Wide Area Workflow, US Bank, Defense Travel System, and Financial Management Suite to manage financial resources. Responsibilities include processing military finance actions like purchase requests, GPC/TDY, Program Objective Memorandum (POM) development, and unfunded requirements (UFRs) analysis. You'll work closely with stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial execution. Experience with financial systems and military finance processes is required.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Knowledge of resource management programs, principles and policies.
2. Ability to analyze and evaluate (on a quantitative or qualitative basis) the effectiveness of line program (training operations, Planning, Programming, & Budgeting System (PPBE), exercises, & training systems) operations in meeting established goals and objectives.
3. Working knowledge of the procedures for preparing solicitation documents to enable awarding of contracts.
4. Ability to design and conduct studies and preparing solutions to resolve substantive problems and issues of effectiveness and efficiency of work operations in a major command program.
5. Ability to plan, organize, and negotiate effectively with senior analysts and management to accept and implement recommendations, where proposals involve substantial resources, and require extensive changes in established concepts and procedures.
6. Ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy.

- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- May be required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise.
- Eligible for situational telework only, including Emergency and OPM prescribed "unscheduled telework".
- May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis.
- May be required to travel by military or commercial aircraft in the performance of TDY assignments.
- This position will close after 5 business days or 75 applications, whichever comes first.
- PCS /relocation funding is not authorized.
- Subject to Temporary Duty Assignment (TDY): Approximately 7 days per year.
- This is a Financial Management Level 2 Certified position IAW the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Public Law 112-81, Subtitle F-Financial Management, Section 1599d.
- Employee must within 30-days of assuming this position and annually thereafter, file an OGE-450, ?Confidential Financial Disclosure Report. Employee is required to attend annual ethics and procurement integrity training.
