Duties

  • Manages a large business activity. Formulates instructions and directives necessary to operate a fluid, profit generating business activity with a fluctuating customer base.
  • Compares prices, service and environment to comparable restaurants and other food service venues, making recommendations to the Food Service Director.
  • Represents the activity at conferences, to special interest groups and other agencies. Coordinates functions with community, and military representatives.
  • As a second level supervisor reviews the actions of subordinate supervisors. Oversees multiple activities, consisting of several subordinate supervisors.
  • Conducts management review of patron programs to identify problems and initiate appropriate corrective measures.

Qualifications

Work experience managing or directing the activities of a Recreation Center or similar business that is open to the public, has multiple facility options and is scheduled for daily group activities.

Best Qualifying Criteria:
  • 2 years of Business Manager experience AND
  • 2 years experience as Point of Sale in Food and Beverage or other like/kind Business Operations Experience

PCS Costs
  • Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.
Pay-Band Allowances and Differentials
  • Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. Sunday premium may be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday).
  • Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. Night differential may be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600.
Incentives and Bonuses
  • Incentives will not be paid.
Foreign Overseas Allowances
  • Allowances, differentials, or incentives will not be paid, and are not authorized for this position. These allowances may include Living Quarters Allowance (LQA), Temporary Quarters Subsistence Allowance (TQSA) and requires a Transportation Agreement in accordance (IAW) the provisions of the Department of States Standardized Regulations (DSSR).
  • Post allowance may be paid in accordance with the Department of States Standardized Regulations (DSSR), contingent upon eligibility.
