Summary

This position is located at McCoy's, which includes Dining, Sports Bar, Bowling Center, Recreation and Leisure Activities and Conference and Catering Spaces. The McCoy's Team provides high-quality service and a place to unwind for the Ft. McCoy Community.

Duties

  • Lead a team of business and recreation professionals. Monitors inventory, labor, supply cost, and equipment for the activity.
  • Responsible for internal control management by providing leadership, supervision, and guidance to ensure attainment of the established business performance objectives.
  • Directs, develops, and administers plans and procedures, and implements, enforces, and ensures compliance with regulations to provide business operations which meet the needs and interests of the assigned FMWI installation.
  • Coordinates with Business and Recreation Division Chief for program and funding guidance while preparing a NAF budget and business plan for the facility. Reviews financial reports, estimates projected costs, develops activity financial plan.
  • Creates marketing and advertising plans for facility. Create and advertise menu to assist catering and everyday operations. Scheduling catering and special events to include ordering product.
  • Conducts management review of patron programs to identify problems and initiate appropriate corrective measures. Responsible for overall facility and staff to include scheduling staff. Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position to include Supervisor of Minor checks.
  • A one-year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Successfully complete all required background checks to include a health screening. An annual health screening will be required throughout employment. All local background checks will be re-verified every 5 years.
  • Duties may involve working both indoors and outdoors.
  • Driver's license will be required if operating government vehicles.
  • Uniforms and name tags are provided and required.
  • Operation is 7 days a week, schedule will be based on the needs of the activity. Subject to an irregular tour of duty including early mornings, afternoons, evenings. Weekends and holidays are required.

Qualifications

A qualified candidate must possess the following:
  • Knowledge of food and beverage management principles, practices, and techniques to provide support services to the organization.
  • Ability to analyze administrative/support practices and recommend improvements to procedures and policies.
  • Must have two years above high school level in business/management or actual food and beverage related work experience of at least two years in a business/management.
  • Must have strong written and oral communication skills, including comprehensive knowledge of standard office software programs, such as word processing, graphics, spreadsheets, etc.
In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified":
  • Minimum of one year work experience in Financial Management
  • Minimum of one year supervisory or leadership experience
  • Employee scheduling experience
  • Budget development experience
  • Experience in a Restaurant/Food Service or Bar
