Summary

This position is for a CHAPLAIN ASSISTANT, PD# D0986000, part of the Nevada Army National Guard. This position is located in the Office the Adjutant General, Headquarters, State Area Command (STARC). Serves as an Assistant to the full-time State Chaplain. The purpose of this position is to assist in crisis intervention, management support, and administrative support to the organization.

-Ability to effectively communicate with the Full-Time Chaplain team and M-Day Unit Ministry Teams as well as disseminate relevant information as needed.
-Ability to maintain complete confidentiality with all matters relating to the Chaplain Corps and the counseling of Service Members, Family Members, or Full-Time staff.
-Proficiency in administrative tasks such as scheduling, maintaining inventory, and data recording. This includes proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
-Ability to maintain the Chaplain Corps Religious Support program and Strong Bonds program budgets, to include planning and execution of federal funds for these programs.
-Proficiency in Religious Support operations and extensive knowledge of AR 165-1 and FM 1-05.
-Ability to assist in coordinating or organizing events and groups to include religious classes or groups, Chapel services, Strong Bonds events, or various trainings.
-Ability to complete projects and tasks as assigned by the Full-Time Support Chaplain in a timely and proficient manner.
