This position has a selective placement factor that will be used to screen out ineligible candidates. The selective placement factor is: You must currently be a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
In addition to the Selective Placement Factor for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the
GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) Providing independent, timely and professional civil engineering products, services and consultation for the planning, design, construction and maintenance of facilities; 2) Applying broad professional knowledge to design civil engineering systems, including site developments, roads, airfields, water supply, sewer systems, drainage, dredging, waste facilities, shore protection, and other large/industrial civil engineering projects; and 3) Ensuring projects follow specifications, criteria, policy, industry codes and standards, and standard practices as related to civil engineering design, including the International Building Code.
