What are we looking for?
- Must possess a master's degree in social work or psychology; or in a related behavioral health field (marriage and family therapy, counseling) from an accredited program.
- Must be licensed at the independent practitioner level.
- Must have a minimum of four years post-license professional experience with at least one year of experience as a supervisor of professional clinical providers with an emphasis in substance abuse/addiction services or with co-occurring disorders.
- Certified substance abuse counselor (Alcohol and Drug Counselor II, International Certification & Reciprocity Consortium substance abuse counselor certification, or state equivalent) required.
- Expert knowledge of substance misuse issues within the Marine Corps and related program policies, procedures, and regulations to serve as an installation subject matter expert is highly preferred. Skill to plan, organize, and direct both internal and interdisciplinary clinical team meetings and to communicate effectively with management and command toward understanding and utilization of SACC services.
