Duties
Primary responsibilities are to perform administrative and operational tasks associated with Food & Hospitality facilities as assigned by the Club, Catering and Events Operations Officer.
Provides administrative and clerical support to Food & Hospitality Clubs & Bars. Operates a personal computer and peripheral equipment to produce a variety of civilian and military correspondence, spreadsheets, charts, reports, recaps and graphs, using a wide variety of software programs. Executes site pricing file changes and audits to ensure accuracy of data. Executes new vendor creations. Screens incoming telephone calls, determining those, which can be answered, and those, which must be referred. May make arrangements for meetings including space and time, and notifies those who are to attend of the topics to be discussed. Prepares detailed or summary reports for meetings. Establishes and maintains subject matter files and records. Types complex correspondence such as statistical reports, budget spreadsheets, financial statements, directives from handwritten drafts or oral instructions in accordance with available guidelines and instructions by utilizing a personal computer. Responsible for correct spelling, punctuations, and proofreading and typed materials.
Understands and follows catering and club procedures ensuring timely communication is maintained and pertinent information is dispensed. Ensures quality in service, food, and beverage products. Maintains private party logbook and contract files. Follows up with client evaluation of services rendered.
When required, performs duties of Bartender. Mixes and serves premixed alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages from a full service bar when necessary. Serves liquor, soda, beer, and wine. Prepares alcoholic drinks by selecting proper premix and garnish. Prepares garnishes for mixed drinks. Maintains strict adherence to policy, procedures and standards. Assist in taking inventory and maintaining records. Keeps bar area clean and keeps area stocked properly at all times. Washes bar equipment, glassware, and utensils. Will perform other sanitation duties within assigned work area as required. Must be alert to alcohol abuse and take appropriate action.
Demonstrates work methods and ensures worksite materials and tools are available to complete work. Ensures that all security, sanitation, health, environmental, and fire regulations are adhered to within areas for which responsible. Ensures that employees are appropriately dressed, neat and clean at all times and in compliance with sanitation regulations.
May be required to verify accuracy of receipts at the close of business, complete and post
function reports, as well as other reports deemed pertinent and distribute to appropriate
department. Responsible for funds generated from all sources, their collection, reconciliation, recording, safeguard and deposit as directed by applicable policies and procedures. Inspects and secures facility at end of shift.
Provide world Class Customer Services with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor. Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
