- Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited educational institution authorized to grant baccalaureate degrees.

- Attach a copy of the highest DAWIA certification in contracting which you currently hold.
In addition to the Basic Competency Requirements listed above, one year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (
GS-05 for a GS-07, GS-07 for a GS-09, and GS-09 for a GS-11 and GS-11 for a GS-12 ) in the Federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
Specialized experience for each grade level is described as follows:
To be hired at the GS-7 entry grade level, applicants must minimally have:
- Assisting with activities related to the award and administration of contracts for goods and services assuring that all activities performed are in compliance with applicable procurement regulations and procedures.
To be hired at the GS-09 entry grade level, applicants must minimally have:
- Utilizing contracting principles and procedures for pre- and post-award activities to award and administer contracts for a variety of specialized equipment.
To be hired at the GS-11 entry grade level, applicants must minimally have:
- Independently performing duties involved with the award and administration of contracts.
To be hired at the GS-12 entry grade level, applicants must minimally have:
- Broad knowledge and skill in contracting principles and procedures for pre- and post-award activities to award and administer contracts for a variety of specialized equipment and services.
Volunteer Experience:
- Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
