Duties
Responsible for a variety of custodial and housekeeping support duties requiring moderate to heavy physical effort. Maintains the cleanliness, sanitation, appearance, and security of assigned hotel facilities, including public areas, guest common areas, administrative offices, meeting rooms. Fitness centers, restrooms, and back-of-house spaces. Cleans and sanitizes restrooms using proper cleaning agents and disinfectants for wash basins, ceramic tile surfaces, mirrors, toilets, urinals, sinks, and fixtures. Replenishes soap, paper towels, toilet tissue, and other restroom supplies daily. Dusts walls, furniture, shelves, fixtures, decorative items, and cleans countertops, tables, and other surfaces. Sweeps, vacuums, mops, waxes, buffs, and maintains floors and carpets.
Completes housekeeping duties as needed, including cleaning and preparing guest rooms, changing linens, making beds, replenishing guest room amenities, vacuuming guest rooms and corridors, and ensuring rooms meet hotel cleanliness standards. Assists with laundry operations on an as needed basis, including washing, drying, sorting, folding, stocking, and delivering linens to support hotel operations and maintain adequate inventory levels. May assist with rearranging furniture, tables, and chairs and may perform minor maintenance duties such as replacing light bulbs.
Maintains a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for guests, visitors, and staff. Follows established cleaning schedules, procedures, and safety standards. Works independently or as part of a team to ensure assigned areas meet cleanliness and operational standards.
Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor. Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Must have the ability to follow oral and written instructions. Must possess knowledge of custodial cleaning methods, materials, and equipment. Must have the ability to safely operate powered custodial equipment such as vacuums, floor scrubbers, carpet extractors, and floor buffers. Must be able to identify hazardous materials and properly handle chemical cleaning compounds and solutions. Knowledge of hotel housekeeping procedures, laundry operations, and basic building maintenance practices is desirable.
RESPONSIBILILTY: Works under specific oral and written instructions. Responsible for exercising care in the use and maintenance of tools, supplies, and equipment. Completes routine duties involving established procedures independently and reports unusual situations to the supervisor.
PHYSICAL EFFORT: Exerts moderate to heavy physical effort while operating equipment, moving furniture, handling laundry, and performing cleaning duties. Prolonged standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing ladders, and working in awkward positions are required. Lifts, carries, pushes, and pulls supplies, equipment, linens, and materials. Lifts and carries objects up to 45 pounds independently and objects over 45 pounds with assistance.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed indoors or outdoors in hotel facilities with adequate heat, light, and ventilation. Exposed to cleaning chemicals, laundry detergents, dust, dirt, moisture, disagreeable odors, and varying noise levels. Exposed to minor injuries. May be required to work weekends, holidays, and during special events based on operational requirements.
