Duties
Plans, organizes, and manages catering operations for banquets, receptions, parties, luncheons, meetings, and other special events, ensuring services meet customer expectations and club standards. Conducts client consultations to determine event requirements such as number of guests, menu preferences, seating layouts, décor, entertainment, and special requests. Provides recommendations to optimize guest experience while maintaining cost-effectiveness. Develops and negotiates contracts, establishes pricing, secures client approval, and serves as the official point of commitment for catering services. Ensures agreements comply with club policy and generate appropriate revenue. Coordinates execution of events by transmitting requirements to kitchen staff, service personnel, and supporting functions. Oversees details such as menu printing, procurement of decorations, table setups, and scheduling of entertainment. Monitors event preparation and final setup, inspecting for accuracy and completeness. Greets hosts, facilitates receiving lines if requested, and ensures events proceed smoothly and in accordance with contractual terms and club standards of etiquette and service. Plans and manages club-sponsored membership events, such as holiday parties, themed dinners, or dances. Develops menus, entertainment schedules, seating charts, reservation systems, and promotional announcements for the membership. Maintains comprehensive records of catering contracts, reservations, and billing. Prepares after-action reports, tracks revenues, and assists the Club Manager in analyzing catering performance to support financial planning. Ensures compliance with Air Force, DoD, and local health and safety regulations in all catering operations, including food handling, service standards, sanitation, and fire/safety codes. Provides input on marketing and outreach strategies to attract new catering business and enhance member participation in club activities. Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifying Experience:
Experience which demonstrates the ability to plan, coordinate, and execute diverse events for large groups, across varied formats and service styles. Must have experience in scheduling special events. Must be able to organize activities requiring multi-faced coordination and collaboration across various services and personnel. Must be able to communicate effectively with clients and staff, orally and in writing. Must have experience in developing and monitoring budgets and analyzing costs. Must have the skills to market and promote services through outreach, member engagement, or advertising strategies.
