Ideal Candidate:
To serve as a U.S. Space Forces Space (S4S) Chief, Personnel Security (Within S4S S2/S2S), as a direct report to the Deputy Director, Special Security and Sensitive Programs. Serves as the Chief, Personnel Security of Space Forces -Space at various echelons within USSF to oversee, direct and develop goals and objectives that integrate organization planning, programming for assigned personnel security programs.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
1. Mastery knowledge of SCI security management principles, policies and programs for managing an agency-wide security program, to include personnel, industrial security and information assurance.
2. Mastery knowledge of governing laws, regulations, precedents and directives governing DoW security and SCI security programs.
3. Comprehensive knowledge of National-level, DoW, Air Force, and Space Force SCI security programs, concepts and principles.
4. Knowledge of laws and regulations governing federal civilian personnel and military personnel management; knowledge of DoW personnel security programs and personnel security programs of the intelligence community (DNI, CIA, NSA, NRO, DIA).
5. Skilled in applying new developments, experienced judgment, and innovative solutions to challenging and complex security concerns.
6. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing; ability to deal diplomatically and effectively with all levels of officials in all types of situations.

- This is a Centrally Managed position, relocation is authorized.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Top-Secret w/SCI security clearance.
- Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise.
- Required certifications must be obtained within 2 years of employment.
- May be required to travel from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.
- Employees need to obtain and maintain approval to access the portfolio of Special Access Programs required to perform daily duties.
- Eligible for situational telework only, including Emergency and OPM prescribed “Unscheduled Telework”.
- This position has been designated for drug testing. Incumbent is subject to random urinalysis testing as a condition of employment.
- This position is designated as Key/Emergency Essential.
- Subject to Temporary Duty Assignment (TDY): Approximately 15 days per year.
