Chief Urology Surgeon

Overview

The Veterans Health Administration is seeking a dedicated and experienced Chief of Urology to join our dynamic team at the Fayetteville VA Medical Center. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Urology section, ensuring comprehensive care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Oversee the clinical management including patient documentation and clinic productivity.
  • Participate in administrative duties and serve as the first line of supervision for urology staff.
  • Engage in clinical duties with a focus on accuracy and detail in patient assessments and documentation.
  • Contribute to academic activities through teaching and potential research projects.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy with board certification in Urology.
  • Full and unrestricted license to practice in any US state.
  • Completion of residency training in an accredited program.
  • US Citizenship or eligibility to work under VA Policy.
  • Proficiency in English for communication and documentation purposes.

Conditions of Employment

  • Passing a pre-employment physical examination and background investigation.
  • Willingness to comply with vaccination requirements including for influenza and COVID-19.
