We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst. As a Child and Youth Program Assistant, you will play a key role in providing high-quality care and developmentally appropriate activities for children and youth, aged 6 weeks to 18 years.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of program participants.
• Plan and conduct exciting indoor and outdoor activities.
• Assist in serving snacks and meals.
• Maintain a positive, supportive environment for children to explore and develop.
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan engaging and educational activities.
• Address the needs of children with special requirements.
• May transport children using government vehicles (valid driver's license required).

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to pass a background check and complete pre-employment training.
• Good physical health with the ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Must complete and maintain relevant certifications (e.g., Food Handlers).
• Effective communication skills in English, both orally and in writing.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in child or youth programs.
• Educational background in early childhood education, youth development, or related fields.
• Leadership experience for Leader Level positions.
