As a Childcare Center Cook, you will play a crucial role in our team, contributing to a nurturing environment through the magic of nutrition. You will be responsible for preparing and cooking nutritious meals for children while ensuring compliance with USDA guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement a comprehensive food service program alongside Food and Nutrition Specialists.
• Handle food preparation and cooking tasks, including meats, seafood, vegetables, and baked goods.
• Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to risk management procedures.
• Assist in the training of new kitchen staff and support youth cooking clubs and health programs.

Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• 6 months of related work experience with professional kitchen appliances and equipment.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods.
• A health assessment confirming mental and physical health.
