Summary

This position is for Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (FMWR) at Fort Drum, New York. FMWR includes Child and Youth Services, Business Recreation, and Support Services, which enable Soldier readiness, support the resiliency and well-being of Soldiers and Families.

Duties

  • Assist in storage functions to include signing customers up for new accounts, receive payments update customer’s information terminate storage accounts and send out monthly bill.
  • Opens and secures the Auto Shop and schedules appointments and maintains automotive shop schedule.
  • Processes and verifies cash flow transactions and deposits and balances daily/weekly/monthly reports.
  • Submit Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPAs) on a monthly basis ensuring accounts are paid and up to date.
  • Create automotive repair orders and complete billing using an automated program and assign automotive repair bays and complete bay rental documents.

  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.

  • This position requires a favorably adjudicated T1/NACI background investigation.
  • Required/maintain a valid state driver’s license.
  • Must be willing to accept part-time employment.
  • Work schedule will be irregular. The incumbent will be required to work, nights, weekends, holidays and/or special events.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates will possess the following:
  • progressively responsible clerical experience, AND
  • computer knowledge and experience in using database, spreadsheets, word processing programs, AND
  • experience in handling monetary transactions, AND
  • good communication and customer skills, AND
  • documented knowledge of automotive repair order and billing systems, AND
  • possess, with the ability to maintain, a valid state driver's license (must be uploaded at the time of your application).

PCS Costs
  • Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are NOT authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is NOT in the Government's interest.
Pay-Band (NF) Allowances and Differentials
  • This is a pay-banded position.
  • Night differential has been authorized by the Collective Bargaining Agreement for Bargaining NF & CY positions and will be paid at the rate of basic pay plus an additional 10 percent of that rate for all regular scheduled work between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. (including periods of leave and holidays).
  • Sunday premium pay has been authorized by the Collective Bargaining Agreement for regular NF & CY bargaining employees and will be paid at the rate of 25% of the employee's basic rate of pay for all hours of a non-overtime tour of duty when any part of the scheduled tour is performed on Sunday (including periods of leave and holidays).
Incentives and Bonuses
  • Incentives will NOT be paid.
Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances
  • A nonforeign area allowance or differential is not granted to employees in payband levels NF-1 and NF-2 since their rates already are based on the prevailing rate.
