Opportunity:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Command Program Support Specialist to join our team at the Washington Army National Guard. This permanent position offers the chance to make a real impact by supporting the implementation and administration of Army National Guard programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide executive-level support in the planning and implementation of Army National Guard programs.
- Research and analyze regulatory data to offer informed guidance and assistance.
- Manage the State Internal Control Program, ensuring coordination and resolution of program issues.
- Act as the point of contact for State Headquarters staff activities and field organizational elements.
- Draft comprehensive reports and technical correspondence.
- Conduct management evaluations, inspections, and special investigations to maintain compliance.
Requirements:
- Military Grades: E5-E9; WO1-CW4; O2-O4
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance.
- A valid Washington state and military driver's license.
- Must maintain membership in the WA Army National Guard.
- At least 36 months of experience in organizational management, administration, and program analysis.
- Proficient in using computer and automation systems for technical reporting and communications.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A Ph.D. or equivalent higher education can substitute for specialized experience.
- Completion of courses such as the Officer Advanced Course, Squadron Officer School, and equivalent will be credited towards experience.
