Summary

About the position: This position will be assigned to the Gunfighter's Service Center, bldg. 2610 on Mountain Home AFB, ID.

This is a Regular-Part Time position, with 20 hours guaranteed weekly.

Duties

Under the direct supervision of the Arts & Crafts (A&C) Manager, assists in overseeing operations of multiple Community Activities Center (CAC) programs, including the Gunfighters' Kids Gym, Gunfighter Theater, Coffee Shops, and Information, Tickets and Tours (ITT). Acts as the first-level supervisor for assigned areas and may assume broader coordination responsibilities within scope during the manager's absence. Supports planning and coordination of CAC classes, programs, and events that serve active-duty members, retirees, dependents, and authorized civilians. Recruits' instructors or volunteer leaders and ensures delivery of services using available facilities, staff, volunteers, and budget. Provides input in publicizing CAC events through various media channels to maximize community engagement. Primary CAC card holder responsible for CAC purchasing, inventory, and upkeep of supplies and equipment needed for programs. Provides routine administrative support in budgeting, financial reporting, and resource planning. May assist in preparing operating and capital budgets and compiling data for 5-year plans. Acts as a cashier; prepares cost center reports, manages POS systems, and processes deposits. Trains staff and volunteers on CAC policies, procedures, and safe equipment operation. Monitors equipment condition; initiates routine and non-routine maintenance requests to ensure functionality. Supports resale operations by evaluating, pricing, and tracking items in alignment with market trends. Assists with responding to customer feedback via social media and other communication platforms. Performs the following: Drives one or more types of motor vehicles to include passenger vehicles, passenger vans, and pickup trucks on the basis of specific assignments and schedules. Reads maps and judge road, traffic, water, snow and weather conditions to determine the safest and fastest route. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifying Experience:
Employee must have general experience gained in assisting or progressive responsibility in the operation of a government or civilian retail facility, event planning, or food service environment. Must have experience utilizing office automation software (MS Windows, MS Office, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel). Must also possess experience which provides knowledge of cash handling procedures and sales operations such as: receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit, and use of cash accountability control methods. Knowledge of fire, safety, and health regulations. Ability to supervise, provide work direction, train and schedule subordinates or have experience which shows the potential to develop these qualities. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing. Must possess a valid state driver's license and clean driving record. "This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use." Must be able to satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI).
