Duties
- Through subordinate activity managers, responsible for overall management of fiscal resources and direction of the Directorate, Morale Welfare and Recreation Community Recreation Division at a large garrison, such as Sports, Outdoor Recreation, etc.
- Directs, develops, and administers plans and procedures; implements regulations to provide for a comprehensive community recreation program widely recognized for addressing a broad range of interests and needs of the military community.
- Institutes innovative programs to meet future needs, including development and support of contingency operations for mobilization and demobilization. Coordinates and markets program within the community.
- Develops policy and strategic plans addressing resources, facilities, and programs.
- Reviews program priorities and develops five-year plan covering projected programs of personnel, funds, and facilities.
- Responsible for providing leadership p and supervision and communicates mission and organization goals to subordinates.

Qualifications
HIGHLY QUALIFICATION CRITERIA:
1. Thorough knowledge and experience executing DFMWR Community Recreation standards, policies, procedures, and practices.
2. Demonstrated proficiency using NAF information systems (i.e., ACRROS, Rec Trak, SMIRF, FMBS, IMETS, DCPDS).
3. Minimum 5 Years experience working in Community Recreation program(s), 2 years at the activity manager or branch chief level or higher.
4. Demonstrated knowledge and abilities in planning, formulation, administration, and execution of strategic plans and NAF budgets.
5. Demonstrated experience creating decision and informational briefings/papers to present to senior leaders.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION CRITERIA:
One year of work experience directing/managing one or more DFMWR Recreation Programs for a garrison, or similar civilian operation.
