Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and recommend revisions to work statements and specifications.
- Assist in preparing and submitting necessary documentation for government requirements.
- Survey markets to determine availability of services and items with specialized needs.
- Guide the development of acquisition documents and identify appropriate contract types.
- Determine procurement strategies, evaluate small business set-aside options, and award contracts.
- Negotiate terms including pricing, specifications, and delivery dates.
- Manage appeals, protests, or mistakes within bidding procedures.
Qualifications
For GS-12:
- Bachelor's degree or 24 semester hours in relevant fields such as accounting, business, or law.
- One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-11 level.
- FAC-C (Professional) certification, or equivalent experience.
For GS-13:
- Mandatory training completion and FAC-C (Professional) certificate.
- Four years of contracting experience, including at GS-12 level.
- Bachelor's degree with coursework in related fields.
