We're seeking dedicated professionals to join our corrections team as a Maintenance Supervisor. Here, you'll play a vital role in both security and rehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and train inmate workers in tasks related to building construction, repair, and maintenance.
  • Develop plans, specifications, and blueprints for projects.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols for hazardous materials and OSHA requirements.
  • Manage the procurement of all materials and equipment needed for assigned projects.
  • Maintain overall security of the facility as part of the corrections team.

Candidate Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Experience in supervising maintenance projects and working with a diverse team.
  • Proven ability to supervise and an aptitude for working with inmates.
  • Strong skills in technical practices, blueprint reading, tool and equipment usage.

Qualifications:

Applicants need to demonstrate sufficient training and experience in the relevant trades (carpentry, masonry, plumbing, etc.) equivalent to a journeyman level. Previous supervision in a similar environment is an asset. Candidates must pass a pre-employment assessment, background check, and complete a three-week training course on correctional techniques.
