Custodial Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

Join our team as a Custodial Maintenance Technician and play a key role in maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of our treatment center facilities. This role involves ensuring the upkeep of various areas including offices, bathrooms, dining rooms, counseling rooms, and classrooms, as well as providing general maintenance support when required. Flexibility to work evenings, nights, weekends, or holidays is necessary to maintain continuity of service. This position reports directly to the Facility Manager.

Job Duties

• Perform a variety of cleaning tasks to maintain designated areas.
• Scrub, strip, wax, and polish floors; keep restrooms sanitized and orderly.
• Maintain cleanliness of offices and common use areas; manage laundry services as needed.
• Store and organize cleaning materials and equipment.
• Move heavy objects to clean and maintain the area thoroughly.
• Occasionally use ladders to clean and repair fixtures or walls.

Job Requirements

Applicants must be physically capable of performing the duties efficiently and must adhere to safety procedures.

• Able to pass a pre-employment examination; subject to a possible probationary period.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.
• Willingness to work shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Subject to background checks and clearances.
• Must comply with immunization requirements unless a valid exemption is provided.
• Adherence to safety protocols, including use of personal protective equipment and handling of materials as per safety data sheets.

Qualifications

• Experience with janitorial and custodial work such as sweeping, mopping, waxing floors, and cleaning public areas.
• Ability to perform tasks without extensive supervision.
• No specific educational qualifications required; all relevant experience, including volunteer work, will be considered.
