Summary

This position is located at Fort Shafter Bowling Center, Fort Shafter, HI (Island of Oahu).

Fort Shafter Bowling Center offers 22 lanes of Open, Cosmic and League bowling. Up-to-date bowling experience of smoke free, family friendly, clean and air conditioned bowling.

We will be hiring for this position at the MWR HAWAII Job Fair Tuesday, JUNE 25th 2024.

U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. or U.S. Territory for three (3) or more continuous years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation.

Duties

  • Cleans rooms, corridors, stairways, and other areas. Sweeps, mops, vacuums, scrubs, strips and polishes using light and heavy-duty powered equipment.
  • Operates industrial equipment to clean rugs, drapes, etc. and performs routine maintenance of equipment.
  • Cleans, dusts, empties trash, washes walls, windows, blinds and ceiling fixtures using ladders, scaffolds and safety belt.
  • May make beds, change linen and move heavy furniture.
  • Maintains stock of room and cleaning supplies to perform assigned duties.

Requirements

Conditions of Employment

  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Appointment subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2.
  • Incumbent may also be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally controlled facilities.
  • Must meet physical requirements of the position.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Must have knowledge, skills and ability to perform the duties listed above.
2. To include the ability to use and maintain the tools and equipment of the trade.
3. Keep the assigned work area neat and clean.
4. Must be able to communicate both orally and in writing.

  • All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work in excess of 8 hours in a day or in excess of 40 hours in the administrative workweek, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee.
