Summary

Fort McCoy operates one of the premier Outdoor Recreation programs in the Army. Pine View Campground is a large full-service campground that includes over 170 campsites and 17 cabins. A well-stocked camp store provides essentials, and a wide range of activities are available to guests.

Duties

  • Cleans rooms, corridors, stairways, and other areas. Sweeps, mops, vacuums, scrubs, strips and polishes using light and heavy-duty powered equipment. Cleans, and dusts assigned areas. Empties trash.
  • Operates industrial equipment to clean rugs, drapes, etc. Performs routine maintenance of equipment. Cleans, disinfects and deodorizes toilet facilities.
  • Makes beds and changes linen. Washes walls, windows, blinds and ceiling fixtures using ladders, scaffolds and safety belt. Moves heavy furniture.
  • Maintains stock of room and cleaning supplies to perform assigned duties. Works independently under general supervision to accomplish assigned work.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Conditions of Employment

  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position to include a physical.
  • A one year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Possess and maintain the physical ability to lift, carry and pull items or carts weighing 20-40 pounds, walk, bend, and stoop and stand on a routine basis.
  • Duties may involve working both indoors and outdoors. Exposure to inclement weather, heat, cold, and dirty conditions.
  • This is a 7-day operation, work schedule will vary based on the needs of the activity. Nights, weekends and holidays are required.
  • Position does not require a driver's license; however, a driver's license is required to operating any government vehicle to include UTVs/ATVs.

PCS Costs
  • Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.
FWS Allowances and Differentials
  • This is a federal wage schedule (FWS) position.
  • All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work in excess of 8 hours in a day or in excess of 40 hours in the administrative workweek, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee.
  • Regular full-time, regular part-time (to include those in a limited tenure appointment category) and regularly scheduled flexible employees are entitled to Sunday premium pay when working Sunday shifts. A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 7.5% for the entire shift when a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 1500 and 2400. A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 10% of the scheduled rate if a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 2300-0800.
Incentives and Bonuses
  • Incentives will not be paid.
Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances
  • Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
