Duties
- Independently performs customer service relations work that contributes toward the well-being of both civilian and military guests and the protection and safety of these guests, other employees and government property.
- Uses tact and diplomacy to deny entrance to unauthorized personnel or to remove those not adhering to rules and policies, including those whose dress or manner does not meet prescribed standards.
- Maintains assigned area in a clean and orderly manner. Ensures compliance with fire, safety and security standards. Familiarizes self with calendar of events in order to inform patrons of scheduled activities.
- Provides security at designated areas by patrolling the premises to prevent unauthorized access. Performs routine security checks to insure buildings, gates and equipment are properly locked or secured.
- Maintains log of authorized visitors and checks to ensure visitors are authorized entry. May operate a motor vehicle.

- A valid driver’s license is required for positions that require the incumbent to drive a vehicle.
- Subject to satisfactory completion of all preemployment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
- Work hours may involve weekends, weekdays, holidays, rotating shifts and night duty.
- Work is predominantly outside on a variety of terrain and weather. Could be hot, cold, wet, dry, windy and dusty.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodation.
- Must complete a CPR/basis Multi-Media First Aid Certification Course within 6 months of employment.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Related experience as described above.
1. Must possess excellent customer services skills in order to communicate tactfully in attending to the needs of guests and enforce the various policies, requirements and rules of the facility for which employed.
2. Must be able to operate and use the various safety and other electronic and automated equipment involved in providing for the well-being of guests and the protection and safety of these guests, other employees and government property.
3. Must be able to speak English clearly to give direction and explain policy, rules and requirements pertaining to the use of the facilities and be able to read and comprehend written English i.e. policies, directives, etc.
4. The ability to work a regular or rotating schedule that may include evening or nights, weekends, and holidays.
5. Experience or knowledge preferred in the following computer software programs:Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
6. Ability to operate a cash register and utilize RECTRAC System preferred.
